Today I return to see my five horses after a week in Japan. The contrast of lives is stark. Tokyo is a major urban city with little space. My five horses in California live on more than forty acres. Iwalk into the pasture and the horse look up with a air of indifference. Yet, I know they are watching my every move.
It is Spring in California --the best time of year. The hills are green and the horses are getting fat from the spring grass. Yuki, a 13.3 pony, has to wear a muzzle so she does not over eat. I will post pictures today.
